Farewell My Friends

YetivilleToday my world changed, not that most will notice, but I did and maybe, just maybe, you did too?

A little piece of happiness has gone, an oasis of fellowship evaporated.

A temple of free thought, free speech and free friendship defrocked and defragged,

An island paradise, founded with a constitutional flourish lost to environmental changes…where did the Rum go?

If you’ve been there too, then know that our shared tears mix in a grail most worthy of finding again, some day, somewhere along the way.

If you have not, may you one day find such a place if only long enough to find the little piece of yourself that listens, learns, contributes and accepts we are not the same, but we are one and better for it.

Bye Bye Yetiville and beloved Yetians. Go well, be happy, keep smiling & laughing and thank you for sharing and caring.

Lastly, be proud to have shared such a journey with the Sainter ~ Thank You Sir! :0)

Such moving and poetic words, J. It was an honour to be there with you. That little island paradise has now returned to the cyber ether where it came from but the spirit and minds that forged it are still here. So to the ethos that guided us. Maybe one day Yeti island will become flesh and text again. Cheers, mate. – Wayne 🙂

Tis’ stinging tears, my weary -eyed disbelief does behold the evaporation of such a grand island and escape as Yeti. Today my heart breaks, as my solace is no more. When did the echoes of rum filled laughter dissipate? When did the Jungle Walk (Yeti Island Groove) stop playing? When did the Yeti Chimp stop musing? I will ever hold dear the friendship, comradeship, and respect among the Yetians. The sacredness of sharing truths and vulnerability cannot be so easily replaced. It was an honor I hold very highly to have been a part of such a wonderful world. With each fellow’s words, I grew to understand my world and universe in hues I’d never known, with each comment I gave a piece of my own. I grew up on Yeti Island, among those I count as friends, and sailed the seas of enlightenment discovering all I could be. Thank you for being there, JRB, you inspired and delighted, I am grateful for the experience and all that it allotted. – Mel

Mel, so pleased you found my post through bloodshot eyes and aching heart. I’d hoped the sound of the last Rum Cork popping would draw you from the woods!

It seems that for a while the Yeti Tribe will carry on the eclectic dialectic via Blog Drums and Twitter Smoke Signals until perhaps we all land on our private beach once more.

I’ve followed your Twitter feed and I encourage you to join the WordPress Blogging Crew as I know you have so much of value to share with us all.

In the meantime, so good to have you subscribe….Cheers!
