Hans Rosling’s 200 Years in 4 Minutes

I’m no statistician, but I love both the technology and the case Hans Rosling puts forward in this video namely, that there’s never been a time when the world lives longer adn is wealthier than now.

Like my previous Stephen Pinker post, A Brief History of Violence, this presentation would seem to dispel the myth that we live in dangerous, unhealthy and poor times…

    It’s hard not to be persuaded by the data. I’d like to think we are getting somewhere and the past has been mythologised to a large extent -that wouldn’t be an uncommon occurence. Another top post from you, J! 🙂
